I haven't seen any indication that Baertschi is being benched because of his stature though. By all indications it's his play, not his size that Hartley hasn't been happy about.
I just think that people are too worried about Gaudreau signing with the Flames in general, and I can't see any reason why Baertschi's benching has anything to do with it. You don't see people wondering if Bill Arnold is going to look at his options every time Bouma watches from the press box.
