As the Dustin Boyd caper of 7 years ago would suggest, the failing of any of these prospects will largely be blamed on the coaching and management with about 4% coming in pointing fingers at the player himself.
I hope Baertschi develops into a great player but if he was sat down because of his backcheck on Saturday it wouldn't have shocked me. That was hockey 101 and he botched it.
I'd imagine that would be pretty annoying for coaches that had taken him through film over and over.
We teach 11 year olds which man you track, this isn't an NHL concept.

Not to mention not getting it in deep when your line wants to change and instead turning it over at the blue line...which he did as well. He gets dominated physically as well at times.
Hopefully he turns in to a dominate player, but he has a lot of work to do and sitting once in a while is not as bad as some of you make it out to be.
