Of course it's a jab at the player. Even if it's indirectly targeted, he's still insinuating Sven isn't a great player. And he's not (yet, anyway)......but I'll ask again, what was the point? All he had to do was word it differently, but didn't.
This team is going to be bad for a few years, and I'm ready for it. But what we need during a rebuild is a coach who is going to lead, mentor, and stick up for his players through thick and thin.
And I think why that comment that may not seem like a big deal to some has got me a bit riled up. Its a door creaking open to stuff that I don't want around this organization. Hartley needs to keep the jabs and silly comments to himself and stand up for his players as much as possible. You say it's a shot at the media, but that's not entirely true.
