Pure speculation, but perhaps Sven has some entitlement issues and a bit of an attitude about being held accountable. While on the surface it does appear that he is being singled out, there has to be some underlying problems that can't all be laid at Hartley's feet.

I was thinking that it could be a maturity issue as well. When Hartley talks about there being no room for "kids", I don't think he is strictly saying it from an age point of view.
Sven seems like a good guy, but I do wonder how ready he was to be a professional hockey player. We saw the same thing with some players during the last young guns era when some of our young players took things too casually and didn't hate losing enough. I see a lot of the same traits in Baertschi. He has loads of skill, but he doesn't play like a player whose trying to impress like the next game could be his last before being sent down.
