So as a coach, what should you do?
How about sit him down, show him what he did wrong on that play and what he should have done, then tell him you love the effort he's giving out there, and throw him right back out there?
Benching him would leave him completely shell-shocked after those last two efforts.
Horrible player management if he does that.
