Some of the games are.
Battlefield 4 is MUCH better on PS4 (and PC) than on PS3.
Killzone is pretty damn fantastic (gorgeous).
NBA 2K14 has been super excited for new-gen hockey games.
Call of Duty is a lazy cross-generation game. Very minor upgrade over current gen.
The streaming your gameplay stuff is extremely easy to use and a neat feature.
The failure rates are always going to be there with hardware, nothing out of the ordinary - you see this reaction with almost all devices now. The gaming community alongside social media definitely tend to make things seem much worse than they are. (although, the gaming community had it pretty rough last generation with the 360 failure rates being astronomical - but microsoft did the right thing and prepared them free of charge).
I find it funny that people are complaining about the launch line-up...it's easily the best set of launch titles a console has had across the board. Yes, a lot of them are cross-gen games - but specifically titles like BF4 and NBA2K14 are SO MUCH better on PS4, it's not even reasonable to compare them to the PS3 version. (I know people will argue "but Halo" and "but Mario 64" - but aside from those two games, the launch titles for both of those consoles were pitiful).
