Even though you could have used him be thankfull you didn't get Schneider, it would have cost you Monahan and posibly other parts for the Canucks to trade him to the Flames.
Monahan IMO will be more important to the Flames going forward than a 27 yr old goalie, no matter how good Schneider may become.
For what it's worth I think the Canucks had their eyes on Horvat all along and would have taken him over Monahan if both picks were on the table still.
This over the years will be like the Linden/Modano debate from years ago, many Canuck fans felt we got the better player, I for one was hoping Minnesota took Linden with the first.
For a couple of years it looked like I was wrong but soon Modano proved himself to be the better player.
Sucks to say it as a Nucks fan but Monahan will be a good one for you guys, he has star written all over him! Please don't wreck him.
