Our D with Smid, in this viewing, isn't much different. We can expect more nights like this. This team has very little NHL talent. Let alone contending level talent. Top end Talent at every position is very difficult to acquire. First Line forwards, rarely are available. Top 2 d, even more rarely available. Goalies are a little easier to acquire outside of "star" goalies.

I actually wanted to lose this one as I want a top 3 pick and this game cemented that destiny IMO. If we can't hold off a team like that then what are they really doing this year? Oh yeah, it s a full rebuild. We can expect 3 more years of this at least. I'm ok as long as they buy into the system and play hard for more 60 min spans than not. We have a long way to go, but this is the time you watch for individual developments as much as team. Mono is going to be a stud. Berra has pro potential. But he needs to realize that better prospects are going to be pushing very soon.

Ah welll, those pitiful fools in the capitol got a dodgey win. to me, they have more to be afraid of with their rebuild being in year 4 with only minimal signs of contention.
