Umm... what? Proclaiming Feaster is a competent based on what appears to be competence of late and ignoring what he did the past couple of years is over-reaction. It's not over-reaction when one has wanted Feaster fired for quite some time and have been consistent about it. No reaction there.

You're missing the point. Nobody is advocating keeping 7 goaltenders between the Heat and the Flames. You identify the goaltenders you want to move forward with and then trade or get rid of the rest if you have no place for them. Bishop has been traded twice the past two years because both the Blues and the Senators thought they had two better goaltenders to go forward with. Obviously, had the Flames acquired Bishop or Bernier, it's only logical that either McDonald wasn't getting a contract extension or Ramo wouldn't have been brought over.

In the end, this is a pretty silly thing from which to demand Feaster's head.

They were Flames property but they were unsigned. Ramo and Berra were targeted by Feaster but it's not like the Flames were heavily invested in them. If there's a clear upgrade you don't worry about how much you invested in Ramo or Berra. It's like Monahan. Sure the Flames envision him as the team's franchise center for years to come but say if the Pens came offering Crosby or Malkin, Monahan is out of here.
Feaster's body of work here is mediocre at best here. Why is it silly to call for Feaster's head when he hands out a two year, one-way, $2.75M contract to Kari Ramo who might not even be the team's 2nd best goaltender next season? Feaster's tenure here has been a massive failure and he's been wrong much more often than he has been right.
