Is fighting in hockey like war? I sure as hell hate war but understand that it is likely never to end. That doesn't stop me from hating it, nor from hoping and doing my own part to ensure that it doesn't happen.

I don't hate hockey goons, and I don't hate the players who fight. But I do question the place of "fighting", and it seems a lot less necessary and exceptionally more expendable to me than something as truly evil as war.
