How is it an over-reaction when the majority of us have been calling Feaster to be fired and have been unchanging about it for quite some time?

What makes a lot less sense is to forgo the opportunity to acquire a highly regarded young goaltender with #1 potential who has already shown himself capable of being an NHL backup in favor of two goaltenders who haven't proven anything in the NHL. You come across a chance to upgrade at a good price you do it.

How has this "calculated gamble" pay off very well for Feaster and the Flames? Look at the standings. Look at the goalie stats. What does Ortio and Gillies' potential to play NHL games next year have to do with forgoing the opportunity to acquire a guy like Bishop or Bernier and bringing in Ramo instead? It's not like Feaster went out and signed a Tim Thomas to a one year deal, he went after Ramo and signed him to a two year deal thinking he can hold the team over or become the #1 goalie the team needed. Feaster's decision isn't looking good at all and this was a very predictable result.
