Personally, I have changed a lot as a fan. Maybe its part of getting older. But I used to care so much more. Right now I couldn't give a crap. They lost. I'll live. Hockey is a great game, and its fun to watch, but its a game. Go out and live your life!

Amen, brother. I'm hoping to get there myself. After all, why should we torture ourselves over the outcomes of events we can't in any way control and that in no material way affect us?
Being a sports fan is a hobby. It "matters" in the same way that winning a poker tournament with your friends "matters." Losing sucks, but if you can't leave with a smile on your face, you shouldn't play.
