Not sure I'd go as far as to call him the worst player on the Flames.
....
Difference being the Panthers dealt with Versteeg by limiting his minutes and eventually scratching him while the Flames continued to trot Glencross out there for 20+ minutes.

Last game before he was injured Glencross with a goal and assist to lead the Flames to a 3-2 win over the hawks in Chicago...... IN Chicago.... That may very well be the highlight of this re-building season for this Flames team.
Even the disinterested Glencross was playing against the other teams biggest/best lines..... with a stretch with Ben Street as his centre. The disinterested floater Glencross had 22 hits in his 15 games along with 13 blocked shots. That leaves him in 6th and 8th place on the Flames despite missing 4 games.
In stats that are easy to understand and hard to argue he was scoring at a 26 goal rate for a full season.
Since Glencross has been hurt the Flames are 0-3-1. Monahan has got 1 assist in these 4 games and is -2. If these were the last 4 games of his 10 game try out chances are Monahan would be back in juniors.
Talented big guys that the other team has to account for makes the match ups a lot easier for Monahan, Hudler, Stajan, Backlund so they can win their battles.
