He said that they'll go after someone else if you respond and so on. But you just can't be scared about that. Plainly you can't be afraid what will happen if you defend your teammates. And Kadri felt free to go after Granlund later, so you can equally say that not responding will embolden the opposition to try more stuff like that.
Yeo looked a little flustered when responding to these questions. I don't think the lineup is particularly soft in the forward position but the defense is pretty mild. They might want to add something there before playoffs.
