Multiple teams interested in J.P. Arencibia

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that multiple teams have expressed interest in trading for Blue Jays catcher J.P. Arencibia.

This news comes as a bit of a surprise, as Arencibia is coming off a terrible year in which he batted .194 with a .592 OPS. However, teams are apparently interested in his power. The 27-year-old is arbitration-eligible for the first time this winter. With a trade a legitimate possibility, the Blue Jays are currently monitoring the free agent market for a replacement at catcher.
