Hockey. Ths Stamps have been the far better team just about every year since the early 90s. however, due to the nature of NHL playoffs (best of 7 for 4 rounds) hockey gets more people fired up (hehe) here than football when the playoffs come around. Also there are many in this city that only support the "top" league of any sport, or the american version of a sport. These people see the CFL as second tier and whether or not that is true, they wouldnt' be caught dead talking about Canadian football or watching it (other than making fun of it). football is number 2 in Calgary, I guess we are used to the Stamps being an awesome regular season team, so them doing well isn't a surprise, and it is hard to build up momentum with one game a week. hockey is probably still number 1, though there are enough transplanted people from Saskatchewan here to make football a close 2nd.
