I almost always listen to the opposing teams play-by-play guys (because they talk more about the other team, which I know less about). "This is a hard working team", "they're a fun team to watch" and "Bob Hartley has done an excellent job" are basicly the current talking points about the Flames around the league, and IMO that says something.
We have had serious goaltending issues, every notable veteran outside of Hudler and Wideman have been injured at some point, and we've had a rather tough schedule so far. Being higher up in the standings than we should be despite it all AND being entertaining while doing it is IMO no small coaching feat.
So yeah, I'd agree, at this point it seems that Hartley is the best coach we've had since Darryl.
