The fact that the subject of this thread is somehow riveting enough to still be ongoing is mindblowing. Lmfao at people expecting a greater point total from Colborne. The kid has barely cracked the NHL. I'd say he's doing fantastic given that fact. Good for him. Just about all there is to say here... really need a game day or something.. moving on.

I thought his response was awesome... god knows I reached that point a few times reading this forum.
I like Colborne. It's unfair when people compare his ice time to that of Sven, or Backs. Especially Backlund. Backlund is essentially the veteran of the three so he should be held to a higher standard, add into that Hartley wants him to show more offensive flair, regardless of his linemates. Putting up points, and creating scoring chances in my mind are different things. If your consistently creating chances then as your linemates and ice time improve then the point totals will start to improve as well. It's about consistency.
And Colborne, he might not have the point totals for the fantasy people, but he is playing consistent hockey, rarely takes a shift off, and wants to get better. Hard to not like the kid. Once he fills out, and catches up to his body, he'll be a good player, patience, he'll learn... I like that he's consistently trying to use his bigger body to create space, and utilizing his reach. From day 1 I feel like the coaching staff has stressed that with him, and asking him to use his body more and he's doing what they ask.
