In our 17 games so far this season, our opponents have a combined record of 161-85-30 (Counts Washington twice).

We've played 12 out of the top 15 teams in the league (points percentage wise), yet we've only played 4 out of the bottom 14 teams in the league (points percentage wise).

Combined record of the teams we are yet to play....86-102-23

Anyways, team put up a fight like usual.....but fell short like usual. Liked what I saw from Reinhart. Very intense, works hard, is really quick/shifty, and seems much stronger this year compared to last. He's going to be a terror for other teams on the forecheck/cycle.

Really wish we weren't missing our best all round defenseman. Makes a big difference IMO.
Not that it matters a whole lot, but I wonder how this compares to the Oilers. I haven't really kept track of them too much, but it SEEMS that they have had a bit of an easier schedule than the Flames thus far. Maybe I am not paying too much attention. Would be interesting if that is indeed true.

Also, it was nice to see some of the youth rewarded tonight. Hartley benches a few of the young guys for not playing well enough, but he then proceeds to reward them for playing hard. Looks like he simply challenges them to become better and more consistent players out there. I actually like what he is doing with the rookies/youth.

I bet Baertschi (if he keeps playing well) gets to see some PP time soon. Possibly Backlund as well (well, more than he did tonight).

Really funny seeing Stajan at over 23 minutes tonight. He really has done a complete 180. I wouldn't be mad if the Flames re-sign him (though not my preference), but if he keeps this up there will be more than a few teams interested by the deadline. He has become a very solid 200ft player.

Another gutsy performance by the Flames. It is hard not to like this team, even when they lose.
