I know this isn't regarding a NHL team, but, it's Shaq's take on whether or not an NBA team would work.

And given that the NBA is a much better draw then the NHL, I just don't see how it would work for hockey.
I thought the NFL thought about it, but the legalized gambling I thought was a big deterrent for that. Or maybe it was the NBA... Can't remember.
