How is this different from someone running a red and hitting some one in the car would had the green? Wouldn't the person who ran the red have to cover all damanges to the other car (under their insurance of course)? Does this change if it's a train?

Transit has the ability to go after these individuals for the costs of disruption to transit service. I dont know if they ever have, but I am sure if the delay was long enough they may consider it. I would be scared to see how much that would be!
