This year, they're both playing in a similar situation as a left winger playing on a line with a good young centre (Granlund) and a veteran right winger (Pominville) who leads the team in scoring.

Going into the game, Niederreiter has 9 points in 15 games, and has taken 36 shots. Sven has 5 points in 13 games, and has only taken 14 shots. So, it might just be as simple as telling Sven to watch his buddy and see what he's doing right.
Niederriter is 6-2 210... He leads the Wild in hits with 35.

Other than their nationality and junior teams there is no comparison.

Grandlund is more of a comparison for Sven to watch as they both are smaller players who other teams will push off the puck and try to knock around.
