Yes we do have too many top 9 players, but I believe Feaster did that on purpose. Sven is a rookie and at this point needs to prove that he deserves a top 9 spot, and that means outplaying older players and giving Feaster a reason to make a permanent spot for him on the roster. Unfortunately for us he hasn't risen to the occasion yet this season.
You see what happens when you guarantee roster spots to your rookies just by looking north 300km. Starting with Gagner their young players have been given no accountability for their play, and you get players already feeling entitled after 2 or 3 years in the league. Eakins is finally changing that with the way he's been treating Yakupov, he knows he's not ready for prime time yet, and making him prove he deserves a spot in the lineup game to game.
