I like him. Was actually talking to my friend during the game and like you said, he just read the play wrong on Hossa's goal. Russell had the far side blocked, and it seemed Berra kind of played the strong side. Left hand shot, right side, play the middle of the net. Again, I liked how quiet he was. Quiet feet. Aggressive. I'm optimistic about him.

Question. Did you see him play in the Swiss leagues?
There was a highlight package that showed him making a few nice saves. It was the manner that he made the saves that struck me as being odd (In a good way). You can see how a goalie reacts to a shot, and be able to tell if they have a good glove or a weak blocker etc. He just looked composed with a good secondary effort in the highlight package. It struck me because you don't see that from overtly bad goalies.

Usually, bad goalies have a structural weakness like Ramo in that he over commits with his movements. It's very difficult for a goalie with that kind of problem to overcome it with any consistency. So seeing a goalie that didn't have that type of limitation made me curious even though his stats left a lot to be desired in the swiss league.

With goalies like Berra, there is no guarantee that they will become anything more than someone that has potential, but it's always better to try someone like that out instead of someone with weaknesses built in. They are more likely to jump out of nowhere and become something.

I figured he be a free agent type signing though, I didn't know the Blues had his right at the time.
