Well notoepik, yes I suppose I do. Why?
Because the fact of the matter is, the guy did lay there in bed for 5 years getting fatter and nunching on nachos all day. If this wasn't acceptable to him then he wouldn't have done it.
I don't argue that depression and several other factors may be the underlying problem, but the fact remains that this dude made a conscious choice to not prevent this. He hit 300 lbs and he kept eating, he it 500 lbs and he kept eating, he hit 1000 lbs and he kept eating, and now that he is probably gonna die, he decides he needs a change so he gets surgery. I realize that depression and many mental disorders are real problems and that these people self medicate with food, and it's not the derpession or the other problems that I can't stand, it is the not realizing that it is a problem untill you hit 1200 lbs. Is this dude suddenly not depressed? Have his problems suddenly cleard up? Or is he dying, so now he decides that doing nothing but laying in bed and eating 120000 calories a day is a bad idea.
