If he was really sorry, or really wanted to do better in the future and get help, he'd just be honest about what's on the tape already. He has to know what's on it. If not exactly, than the basic stuff.

But he doesn't want to clean up. He hasn't hit rock bottom yet. His comments about alcohol are proof enough for that. Right now he's just hoping he can deny deny deny the crack when the video comes out. He'll say it's weed or something in the pipe, and just deny deny deny. It will probably be impossible to tell with 100% certainty by video, but the ones who aren't so far up his ass will know it's crack.

What would worry me more as a voter than the addiction though, is his whole standing and possible involvement with these criminals. If he knew about the attempted murder! That should be enough for people to not want to vote for him.

People do screw up, and if he was coming clean and getting help, and truly had nothing else to do with the criminals and wasn't trying to cover it up, than even I would say maybe he deserves a second chance. But he's not doing that either.

This stinks about as much as anything can stink. There are multiple reasons why he should not be a public servant right now. Get rid of the buffoon already.
