Seems hard to imagine they would want him gone that much when basically the only reason that made sense for them to sign him was to have him as a mentor to help the new guys adjust to the NHL/NA.

I wouldn't want him mentoring ANY of the young guys.
Guy is a benchwarmer/AHL goalie for most of his career. Finally gets a chance at a starting role with Kipper retiring this year and comes into camp out of shape... are you kidding me?
