I don't think it would make much sense based on how cheap MacDonalds contract is.
Might as well just pay him the 900,000 dollars he is owed and have sit at home if that is how much they don't want him to be involved with the organization.
Seems hard to imagine they would want him gone that much when basically the only reason that made sense for them to sign him was to have him as a mentor to help the new guys adjust to the NHL/NA.
