Went to my first game there just a couple weeks ago actually, Coyotes vs Senators. Game was actually pretty entertaining, arena is great, the immediate area around the arena was awesome (resteraunts and bars and such).

Honestly I think it's just the location of the rink that's the biggest killer. There's no apparent public transit that I could see and the rink seems to be at least a half hour away for most people to drive. And driving really is the only way to get there so people are going to need a vehicle and a lot more time on their hands to go see games on a regular basis.

Poor, poor choice for an arena location. Makes me hopeful the rumours of a potential new location for the Flames new rink around Balzac will never become more than just rumours.
