Well it's kind of a crapshoot. With a Q6700+650 you're not really going to be gaming on it at all (the 650 would cry itself to sleep playing anything newer than Half-Life 2 at that resolution).

The next question then, is why? They are often used for graphic design and photo editing, so in those regards, the ones with "true" colors are often wanted (Dell, HP and Apple make the best for those purposes), but most users think vibrant displays look better, which is where the ASUS you saw (probably the PB278Q) comes in.

Really, the PB278Q would be the best for you, it's cheap, it's vibrant, it's a bit ghost-y for gaming, but it gets the job done if you just want a bigger, sharper monitor.
