Picked up a DualShock 4 at EB Games in NorthHill mall yesterday. Didn't take any convincing, just asked they guy if they had them and he grabbed me one.
The controller feels great. New triggers feel good, the new joy stick design is an improvement, and the bigger size makes the controller very comfortable.
Also to note is that PS4 demo units are now available at various Sony Stores around the city. Fifa and Knack are playable from the bigger name launch titles.
Only had about 5 minutes to test it out but wasn't overly blown away by the games. Standing four feet away from a 55 inch screen probably didn't help though, pretty much anything looks blurry from that distance.
Knack was your typical platformer, very Crash Bandicoot like, and was alright. Still think that this ends up being the surprise of launch though, you could tell the makings of an enjoyable platformer are there, and you don't really get the story or advanced aspects from the demo.
Fifa was decent. The movement and flow of the players seemed improved, however it wasn't a huge improvement on the current gen game. Graphically (once again the closeness to the screen didn't help) or gameplay wise.
Hopefully as we move closer to launch some of the bigger titles will be available to try out, want to see how Killzone, Battlefield, and NBA 2K14 feel on the next gen.
