Well he's only been in NA for a year but you're right. If you watch Granlund now, you'll see that tough love works on some. Not everyone, but people with character will respond. There was an article somewhere about his off season work and it was really impressive. It's remarkable that he could do so much with his skating and strength in just a few months.
Yeo has also said that they've decided not to micro-manage his game this season as much but I think they just don't need to anymore. The hype was really tough on him last season and the local media turned sour. Russo was sending him back to the AHL even before they'd played any games, but now he's changing his tune as well.
