Look at it another way polak. This deal was the same as 2009, but with inflation it comes out less for the Tsuu Tina. The biggest things that have changed since 2009 was that the "uncertain" clauses were taken out, and they want to work with us to make the casino area thrive.
And it doesn't matter how barren the land appears to be for us. They are the ones with family members burried in the path of the road; who's remains will need to be moved.
Like Acey said, this deal saves us billions of dollars. They could have held out for a lot more, but came back to the table and asked us to take out the clauses that would allow us to back out.
We got a pretty good deal, and this should help give the TTN a means to support themselves through economic development. It's win-win.
