They have done some pretty detailed engineering on the route of the hill at 16th ave and the interchanges from Mcleod to 162nd but it all needs to go through the community consulting phase.
From start of construction it will take around 3 years to build so you still have 4 years to plan to hit the 7 year mark. I would be willing to bet on opening before Dec 31st 2020.
