Cardinal did not vote Thursday but his family home is expected to be in the path of the road, which has been tied up in negotiations for more than four decades.
"There is no way Canadians would ever be OK with digging up dead presidents to pave over them,” [Tricia Crowchild] said, referring to burial grounds also believed to be in the path of the road.

In all seriousness, I'd hope anyone whose home is in the path of destruction is fairly compensated. I'll cool it with the gifs because some people's lives got turned upside down tonight.
