It's rewarding age for the sake of age an not rewarding play for the sake of play. It's what we've done for a few years and it's why we are as bad as we are.

The optics aren't good, but I know there is a lot that the common fan (like myself) don't see, notice, or pick-up on.
It really isn't the end of the world. It's one game, in one season of a rebuilding year, with a 20-something player that has a long career ahead of him. If being sat for one game before the quarter mark is going to so horribly crush his confidence to the point that his development is completely stifled then I'm not sure that is really the kind of player the organization would want going forward anyway.
And this shouldn't need to be said, but I don't think that at all.
