Not to forgive the defence on that third goal, but it only happened because the referees blew a call.
A goaltender is not permitted to skate out of his crease like that and cover the puck. That is delay of game. The fact that it happened in "dead space" after the officials missed the second goal is irrelevant. Penalties taken during that time still count.
The Flames should have been on a power play.
