Have you looked into the clubs and stuff the UofC offers (climbing, swimming, skiing, hiking, whatever)? I think finding a new interest to get you out of a rut (if that's the case) would be more productive to get you to where you want to be. My prediction is this will be a very expensive, difficult-to-reverse mistake.
