Just watched the game, so comment time:
- Great to have Cammalleri back. Really helps to have some offensive depth, and the guy fits right in.
- Colborne again with his best game so far. Learning fast seems to be a theme this year. He's starting to be noticeable, using his size more and getting some chances.
- Monahan

' Hudler

I was kind of meh on Hudler in the first couple of games, felt like he was forcing things and losing pucks unnecessarly as a result. Seems like he was just getting warmed up. Hartley has mentioned Hudler being a mentor to Monahan. Can't complain with the results, they seem to have great chemistry, and that combined hockey IQ is just beatiful to watch.
- Karri Rämö with the what I'd call the first real #1 goalie performance by a Flames goalie this year. Comforting to say the least.
- As a negative notion: Right now we're basicly rotating 5 ½ D-men, as O'Brien only plays ~10 minutes a night. 213th out of 219 NHL defenseman in TOI/G, and every player behind him is the 7th or 8th defenseman on the team. He had 8:31 icetime last night, that's just silly low.
At the same time, Wideman got 29+ minutes, Giordano 28+, and IMO the SH goal against was a direct result of that. That should have been an easy clear for those two guys. The Kings obviously went after our defensemen, and Giordano especially started to look very worn down by the end of the game. Other teams will keep doing the same, as it's an obvious weak spot on our team.
Minutes like that are not sustainable over 82 games, it's going to cost us unnecessary goals against plus it's an injury risk.
We need another guy that can play the normal 14-15 minutes required.
