It's part bad luck and part having injury prone players. Same thing happening with the Stampeders over the past 3 seasons and the issues are the same in that that it's bad luck combined with some glass players. I know the Stampeders did research into it as well and it came up that it's something that's out of their control. The only thing they can control is to pay closer attention to player's history of injuries and even that isn't foolproof by any means.
Some athletes are gifted with everything except a durable body and you see it in all sports. The Oilers drafted a slight guy like RNH and a reckless player in Hall and it's really no surprise that both have started their careers plagued with injuries.
