The Oilers kept all three of their first overall picks up in their first year. Didn't help the team and I don't think it helped certain players. Nugent-Hopkins came out like a house of fire in his first nine games as well and forced the team to keep him up. He had a good half season then got hurt because he wasn't physically ready to be there and since then has been nothing but injured and inconsistent. That's the only worry I have about keeping Monahan up (although he does seem more physically developed that Nuge at this point).
You can easily make a case either way and this is an important decision, I hope they make call whatever that may be.
