Winnipeg is a very underrated place to live, as it's a great place to raise a family, or meet people. I don't care much for Winnipeg winters, but nothing beats summer in Manitoba. Lakes and beaches in every direction. Most people own a cottage for the summer, relatively affordable. Between May and September, there are tons of things to do in terms of festivals, parks, beaches, campgrounds, etc.
If one can tolerate the Winnipeg winter, it's not such a bad place at all.

It's great for you that you like Winnipeg but for the vast, vast majority of people in the world there is lots that beats Manitoba in the summer. It is an awful place to be any time of the year, summer included.
