Maybe I'm one of few, but I preferred them way more as the Mighty Ducks.
So much more character and iconic-ness to the name and brand. And that logo (maybe if it had a few tweaks to give it a more mature look) still is way better than anything ducks related they've put out since. The jerseys they were wearing back in 03-04, or 02-03, whatever it was, were pretty bad. But those above look great. It never really bothered me that their logo/brand was a bit more cartooney than the others. It's what actually made them interesting and special. There's nothing special about them now. Most boring logo/name/colors possibly in the league.
Those who hated the Disney relation need to stop trying to act so grown up. I thought it was so awesome that a team was spawned from the franchise. Funny enough, I actually don't like much of anything Disney. But I really liked the mighty ducks. Maybe not more intimidating, but certainly more awesome than just "ducks". Perhaps I'm in the boat that thought that if they were to change it, they might as well pick something completely different.
