I've turned a new leaf.
Monahan has impressed me beyond belief. For once the Flames have drafted well. He reminds me of Toews in so many ways. Positionally he is incredibly sound for such a young player, with the added bonus of being dangerous offensively and he has size. I love that!
As much as I liked Monahan again'st Jersy, with some props to Baerchi and McDonald. Bouma impressed the hell out of me. His heart last night is what makes teams successful. I can promise you that if Bouma keeps playing like he did last night, he will stay in the NHL and Hartley will give him more ice time. It's players like Bouma that a talent laden Edmonton would dearly love to have.
