I did some further research and MstsRoboto was correct in saying there is issues with older model titans with rear axles and rear diffs. The 04-07 models do have issues but the newer ones seem to be clear of these issues so far.

I agree with buying new. Sometimes it is easier. Both of my Nissan's have full 7 year/160k warranty bumper to bumper. I know Toyota offers 7 yr/200k warranty. I am not sure if Chev/Ford/Dodge are offering extended warranties to that extent yet.

The newer Ford's have come along way. Their Management has made huge strides in quality. GM and Dodge are still far behind in that sense. The Titan is due for a re-design and that is the biggest complaint amongst consumers right now. Technology has changed a lot in 10 years but the Titan hasn't. Still a great truck though.

Newer models Fords or Titans are both good vehicles.
