TJ Brodie would probably ask you what the hell you're talking about and reply that he never played in the World Juniors so it didn't have an impact on what a good NHL player he's turned out to be.

And I disagree with your position developmentally wise. I think it will be a terrific learning experience. The kids only 18 for gods sake. Any experience like this will contribute towards his development.
