They were saying that if the election was next month instead of next year, you likely would see a wave election where all the tea baggers up for re-election would get ousted by democrats. It still is a distinct possibility even though it isn't till next year.
Even veteran pollsters were shocked at how bad the poll numbers were today, and one of them said that this was one of those polls that you might only see 4 or 5 times in your entire lifetime.

I doubted it before, but with the odds so heavily stacked in their favour, maybe Hillary
will run and win.
With both houses firmly democractic, the federal government could really start to get things done, vs. the last decade of gridlock.
