Would need to be a great offer for the flames to approach glencross to ask him to waive his NTC. Glencross loves playing in Calgary - rebuild year or not. Plus, his value will only go up as the season goes on. His cap hit is only 2.55 million!! That's a huge steal for a guy that can score 25+ goals consistently without playing with legit top centremen.
I think the flames would be willing to take a bad contract (Mezaros) in return but they would need to get at least a 1st round pick or Sean Cotourier in exchange. Remember, Feaster would still have to convince him to waive.
P.S. I still think baertschi needs to be an untouchable... He's creating scoring chances every game for the flames and has played great defensively to start the season. Great chemistry with Monahan. This kid has sooo much upside that I think it would be a huge mistake to give up on him so early.
