Baertschi for Schenn. Huh?
First of all, neither team is even remotely interested for obvious reasons, how do these discussions even get started? - Flyers don't need an unproven player. Calgary isn't giving up a player with high potential.
Schenn would be a good addition here. But only for vets if philly wants them (and likely Calgary takes some salary back) - like Glencross as I suggested above.
Schenn is way more accomplished then Baertschi for the reasons noted above. Ridiculous to suggest otherwise. And I think he was more than a point per game in the playoffs a couple years back.
Baertschi has talent, but he plays soft. He won't lead this team in the crux moments. And even when the Flames are a good team, there are plenty of crux moments.
Finally, a superstar in waiting does not typically shuffle back and forth from the AHL - or even come remotely close to that. Baertschi will not be superstar. Hakan Loob at best.
