100% yes - Hartley is a perfect fit for this team. We are young and we have seen in Edmonton that not any coach can work with a young group. Hartley has plenty of experience and gives off a great vibe for a young team. He appears to be coaching players on their mistakes vs tearing into them and so far we have seen players who made mistakes bounce back and play solid follow up games.
He actually reminds me of Pete Carroll of the Seahawks with the enthusiasm and I get the sense that Pete/Bob have the best interest of each player in mind and feel personally responsible for individual failures.
Also, I am sure its been pointed out already but McG being on the ice and having that give away has nothing to do with Hartley. He was supposed to change well before that, had chances and elected not too. I was worried when he passed up his second chance to change as that line had skated a couple length of the ice. That falls 100% on him and I am sure he takes full responsibility and won't make the mistake again. Instead of ripping into him on the bench or through the media I am sure Hartley had a 1 on 1 which is the right way to approach the situation.
